"This morning I saw the countryside from my window a long time before sunrise, with nothing but the morning star, which looked very big, " wrote van Gogh to his brother Theo, describing his inspiration for one of his best-known paintings, The Starry Night (1889). This gorgeous handmade stained glass panel is a rendition of Van Gogh's masterpiece Starry Night. It has been created using hand-cut traditional stained glass in the Tiffany style technique (same as lampshades).

Black patina on lead complete with hanging chain to the rear and framed in a zinc surround. Like with Van Gogh before me i carry a deep love for the natural world, as Van Gogh mentioned in a letter to his brother Theo "Hope is in the stars, " This stained glass panel features a balanced composition composed of celestial swirls, stylized stars, a radiating moon, an idyllic village, and a sky-high cypress tree. The sky of The Starry Night is the most dream-like element to the stained glass composition, particularly in the blue swirls that move across the stained glass panel. Handmade with love using the Tiffany copper foil method (same technique used in Tiffany lamps). I have been a stained glass maker for over 20 years.
